Here are some of the recent developments you should know about.
OmniTrader 2012 – The big news in the OmniTrader 2012 upgrade, was the option to generate Non-Time Based charts (NTB) which really help you understand the price direction of a share. All users should upgrade the software each year to access all the new features, it only cost $149.
VisualTrader 9 – This new version now includes NTB Charts, which are great for End of Day and Real Time Trading. The VisualTrader simulator makes it especially easy to test ideas and work with these charts. We also added the Basket Trader and the Trade Throttle which allow the software to identify your best trades automatically. VisualTrader is a great module to add to OmniTrader and now the price is has been reduced to $295 to help you get started.
Interactive Broker – You will shortly be able process trades directly from the software to the broker. All you need to do is click buy or sell within the software. You can do this live or use a paper account for practice. Up to now this has only been available to US based customers. Now CorporateDoctor will be able to set you up to do this if you are not a US resident. Cost will be around $6 a trade. ProfitBands – Based on the volatility band concept, the confluence of Bands can be very predictive in determining price direction.
Advanced Cycle Trader – Based on the concepts pioneered by John Ehlers. Cycles occur continuously in all markets, the plug-in finds the most probably cycle lows and highs. Strategies are included with it that automate Signal Generation on a Cycle basis.
Strategy Wizard 3 – The strategy wizard can be used to improve the strategies you already use now and it incorporates support for all the new modules and features.
Seasonality 2 – The seasonality concept works. It has been applied for years to the futures markets, but recently, traders have noticed that stocks also have seasonal tendencies. The new Seasonality module finds these seasonal tendencies on any list, and is a great confirmer for any trading method.
